What we do
Economic Empowerment: Many women in these clubs form cooperatives to create thriving businesses, generating income for their families. Some organizations in the Zimbabwean network also introduce Internal Savings and Lending Schemes (ISALS) to provide self-funding micro-finance options for members.
Joining a women’s community provides a sense of belonging and a strong support system. For example, some local clubs offer emotional and recreational support, as well as community funds to assist with funeral and burial costs
Members have opportunities to develop leadership skills through social and cultural activities. The clubs also act as a space for women to collectively participate in decision-making and advocate for their rights.
Skill Development: Members gain access to practical training in various trades such as tailoring, catering, and animal husbandry. These programs are designed to offer educational support and improve the skills and knowledge of members
Food and Commodity Production Skills We empower our members with the knowledge to grow nutritious food for their households while developing the technical skills to produce high-quality agricultural commodities for the market. From climate-smart farming to value-added processing, we turn subsistence gardening into sustainable agribusiness.
